Venus 60mm f/2.8 Macro: new images

New Chinese manufacturer Venus Optics announced their first Venus 60mm Macro f/2.8 earlier this month. Built by Macro photographers for precisely that group, it seems to tick all the boxes in regards to easy-of-use and flexibility macro enthusiasts have been waiting for. The manual focus Venus 60mm f/2.8 has magnification range from 0.1x to 2x and a minimum focus range of 18.5mm without the need for any extension tubes. It certainly looks impressive on paper, but many photographers seem understandably hesitant to trust another Chinese manufacturer, so I’ll be doing a full review of the Venus 60mm macro f/2.8 soon! Here are some images to keep you warm for now.

Hey nice shots. Did you use multiple flash units?

Hey Wim, awesome images. Any of these taken with full flash i.e around 1/200 (to 1/250), F11 – 16, ISO 100/200? At these setting, I need powerful focusing light. I wonder if the EVF and live boost of your mirrorless system can overcome this issue? Thanks! Kurt
