A walk through the middle ages with the Sony A6000
I took the Sony A6000 on a trip to Ghent. It is a historic city, yet at the same time full of activity. The daily life of the city’s active inhabitants plays itself out against a gorgeous historical backdrop. In Ghent, they live, work and enjoy life over and again each day.
A couple has a romantic moment alongside the river Lys, parents and children stroll through the traffic-free streets, a tourist snaps a photo…
It is spring, so love is in the air, and the sun is reflected in the many waterways.
The Sony A6000 is an excellent camera for this non-intrusive style of photography. It is fast, small and discrete, very portable yet yields very nice results.
Hello,
thank you for your review, which lense did you use for your middle ages pictures? Any advice for the best a6000 lense?

Hi Dom, thanks for your comment.
I used the Sony SEL2470z here. It is a full frame lens, so on an APS-C camera it is 36-105mm.
Do you want a zoom lens or a prime lens?
I sold my old canon eos 500D. I will purchase the a6000 for sure but which lens?
What do you think of the 1650 kit lens? It looks pretty light and not so bad. With the 55210 it could be a good option, isn’t it?
I was also thinking of the 1670 f4 but it’s pricey and don’t know if it worth the price?
I like the golden colour/tone of your pictures.
Thank you for helping me.
I’m not a big fan of the 1650 kit lens, but it is inexpensive. so it might be a good one to start with. Yes the SEL1670z will give you a lot better results. Problem is that at F4, it won’t be good in low light on the Sony A6000 (but neither will the SEL1650). So it depends on how deep your pockets are, and what you need.
