Samsung NX1 firmware version 1.4 released
Introduction
The previous version 1.3 of the Samsung NX1 firmware, dating back only three months already brought a lot of novelties and improvements. It is now already replaced by a version 1.4 that corrects minor bugs and also increases the performance of Samsung’s flagship camera in nine criteria.
NX1 firmware version 1.4 enhancements
- The 15 fps continuous shooting rate now has an increased capacity of 25% for up to 90 consecutive shots in JPEG and 25 RAW views.
- Better performance of the digital stabilization in video mode.
- Focus peaking can now be set to a customizable button.
- AE lock now applies ISO Sensitivity Auto mode setting to Manual.
- The flash exposure information appears in Live View mode.
- Improvements have been made to the autofocus and operation during the zoom movements for the 16-50 mm S, 50-150 mm S, 16-50 mm PZ 18-55mm, 12-24 mm and 50-200 mm. These lenses will need to be updated too.
- The display of the battery level is more accurate as it is now possible to separately indicate the degree of each battery when the grip is used.
- The display of pictures in playback mode should be faster.
- The quality of sound recorded by an external microphone was optimized when auto mode is disabled.
